Proteios is a biotech company developing the AptaCapture platform, a synthetic-aptamer-based system that isolates immune cells for next-generation cell therapies faster and at lower cost than current antibody-based methods. Founded by Bob Snyder, Ph.D./MBA (Cofounder & CEO) and François Baneyx, Ph.D. (Cofounder & Scientific Advisor, University of Washington), the company approached Pitch Deck Studios to build an investor pitch deck completely from scratch ahead of its $1.5M pre-seed raise.
Proteios was preparing for a pre-seed round to fund the launch of its preclinical cell isolation device, with a $20M Series Seed planned for later in 2026. The deck needed to explain a technical, tightly regulated manufacturing process to investors who may not have a life sciences background, while still holding up under scrutiny from those who do. It needed to cover the market opportunity, the platform's advantage over incumbents such as Miltenyi, the business model, and the team's credentials, then close on a clear ask and milestones.
The core challenge was translating dense scientific and manufacturing detail: cell isolation method, aptamer chemistry, purity and viability data, into a story that could hold investor attention from the first few slides. Proteios had strong underlying material: validated data, non-dilutive funding already secured, and active validation sites, but no narrative structure connecting the science to the business opportunity.
Pitch Deck Studios started with discovery, learning Proteios' origin story, the market opportunity, and the founder's vision, before any design work began. The team then built a copy-only version of the deck to lock the investor narrative, structure, and positioning first, and got that approved before moving into design. Only once the story held up did the team move into a visual system built to be modern, story-driven, and premium, designed to spark curiosity while staying clear enough to support live investor conversations.
Bob was happy with the final deck and has already used it in early investor and outreach conversations, with a positive initial response. The finished presentation gives Proteios a clear, credible way to walk investors through a complex manufacturing problem and its solution without losing them in the science.
