Project Goal

Develop an investor pitch deck and companion one-pager that could communicate FuelBoxx's vision, product, and market opportunity to investors during a seed fundraising process.

FuelBoxx is building the first institutional nutrition system for youth athletes, timing-specific Pre-Game and Recovery fuel kits sold through B2B partnerships with clubs, schools, and sports organizations. Founded by Emmy-winning sports producer Gayle Jones-Benoit, the company set out to raise a $500,000 seed round to fund sales, marketing, and product development.

FuelBoxx approached Pitch Deck Studios to design materials that could carry its story through a multi-month fundraising process, rather than a single, static presentation.

Fundraising Context

FuelBoxx was raising its $500,000 SAFE round while actively building its B2B pipeline of clubs, schools, and sports organizations. As the company moved through investor meetings, its go-to-market data, target partnerships, and business model kept sharpening, so the materials needed to keep pace rather than freeze at a single point in time.

The Challenge

FuelBoxx's story spans a market comparison across pro sports, NCAA, and youth spending, a two-product system split between Pre-Game and Recovery boxes, a B2B subscription model with several pricing tiers, and a growing list of named pipeline partners such as LAFC, Harvard-Westlake, and the City of Round Rock.

Fitting that volume of detail into a deck investors could scan quickly, without losing the specifics that made the opportunity credible, was the core design problem.

Our Approach

Pitch Deck Studios built a slide structure that moves from the problem to nutrition spending data, then to the product, business model, and go-to-market plan, letting each section build on the last rather than repeat it.

Comparison data, including the nutrition gap and competitive landscape sections, was reformatted into scannable card and table layouts, and the pipeline of named partners was pulled into its own slide so deal value and total addressable pipeline could stand out.

Because the deck and one-pager needed to stay current through the raise, the team worked in ongoing rounds of revisions over six months, updating figures, partner details, and messaging as FuelBoxx's pipeline and positioning evolved between investor meetings.

What We Delivered

  • Investor pitch deck
  • Companion one-pager for investor follow-up
  • Market sizing, business model, and go-to-market slide design
  • Recurring updates and revisions across a six-month fundraising cycle

The Result

FuelBoxx has a pitch deck and one-pager it continues to use in ongoing investor conversations for its seed round.

Gayle Jones-Benoit said the materials held up well through six months of investor meetings and made it easier to walk into each one prepared: "Pitch Deck Studios turned a lot of moving pieces into something clean and easy to present. Every time our numbers or partners changed, they turned the update around fast."
